Awaiting Departure

Awaiting Departure

You’ve done it. You decided on destination and marked off the dates, you’ve probably already requested the needed time off. Now the countdown begins.

Where are you going this year?

While I await to hear about your much anticipated vacation plans, I’d like to share with you some journeys that I’m looking forward to.

Caribbean: This is a favorite destination to many US travelers. The Caribbean is easy to get to from the states and certain destinations such as the Bahamas, can be visited on a cruise with just a valid ID. Some destinations like St John are US territories for which a passport is not required. Some cruise lines offer great options for short Caribbean escapes. I have some clients who are looking forward to their Caribbean beaches while enduring this winter. While you can find nice beaches on the US coasts, you can only find the Caribbean vibes in the Caribbean.

South America: Would you be willing to spend 4 days on a hike? I planned an exciting Salkantay trekking trip for the summer. My clients are adventurous travelers and I’m so excited about this trip. In addition to mountain trekking in Peru, their adventure will take them to Chile, Brazil and Argentina. I call it the South America exploration. These destinations provide a way to experience nature, cuisine, world wonders, fine wine and culture.

As for me, I won’t be heading to the 7th continent yet, I’m bound for Alaska instead.  My Princess Cruise will set sail from Vancouver, Canada to Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, College Fjord and end in Whittier. After the cruise, the plan is to spend a few days in Anchorage and ride the rail to Fairbanks. This is my Alaska experience.

Have you thought about what you want to do, see, eat and experience this year? I’d love to hear about your plans on my social media pages. It’s delightful to think of our vacation plans, however, once the vacation starts it seems to end too fast.

Happy Vacation!
